New York Fashion Week Fall 2010 Presentation: ADAM

22 Feb
INSPIRATION: Former Oscar de la Renta creative director Adam Lippes branched out on his own and struck a chord in the hearts of New Yorkers and fashionistas alike.  This season, Lippes took the flight of fancy with an aviation themed fall collection.  Inspired by an Isca Greenfield-Sanders painting of a parachute jumper from her show in New York last fall entitled, “Against The Fall,” models walked the runway in
TOP LOOKS: Shearling lined utility leather jacket, long flowy keleidoscope print dress, black brushed cotton skirt with leather piping, fur bottom bubble dress inspired by clouds,
ACCESSORIES: fingerless knit gloves, relaxed suede above the ankle boots, opaque tights, chunky cable knit scarves
CELEBRITIES SPOTTED: Tinsley Mortimer
MY REVIEW: I’ve always been a fan of Adam Lippes’ wearable pieces Adam Lippes creates each season.  This fall is no different with more wearable separates that had me and my friends on the edge of our seats.  The affordability of the ADAM collection is also a big turn-on. Aesthetically pleasing colors like butterscotch, cream, burnt orange and gray were right on target for the aviation themed collection.  Models in tent dresses and full skirts resembling parachutes and cloud formations was breathtaking.  I could see myself in almost everything in the collection this fall.
